Hiking the Timberline Loop Trail
Pictures from the first foggy time we hiked:
The first time I did this hike was a foggy Saturday morning with Rachel (last two pictures). Mount Hood had seen it’s first snowfall but the day was overcast and extremely foggy and the views we had of the peak were fleeting. However, the fog made the colors of the forest pop and feel very PNW-y. The second time I did this hike was with Michael and it was sunny, bright and the views were endless of Mount Hood and the surrounding valley. This is a great short hike that offers wonderful views.
The Timberline Loop Trail is 2.1 miles long, about 700 feet in elevation gain, moderate difficultly and lightly trafficked (I think during the summer months it’s heavily trafficked). It provides amazing views of Mount Hood and is great for all ages and activity levels. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leash.
