A Quick Little Hike in Shenandoah

This morning was rainy and dark and I slept in until 10:00 and laid in bed until 11:00! I'm not kidding when I say I really don't like sleeping in because I feel like I'm wasting my day (also I'm such a morning person. I can wake up at 3:00am for a sunrise hike and not bat an eye or need a cup of caffeine) so this is the first time I've slept in in a long time! I must've really needed it.

But let's throw it back to yesterday when it was bright, sunny and warm. I went out to Shenandoah National Park with my friend and coworker Brandon who is the photographer behind Blue Ridge Imagery. We hiked Doyles Falls to see the waterfalls since we've had a lot of rain recently. They were so gorgeous and full! This set of waterfalls combined with the waterfalls along Jones Run are my favorite waterfalls in the entire park. They're not as popular as White Oak Canyon but they are so gorgeous! They're best after a few days of heavy rain but in the summertime some of the deeper plunge pools are still deep enough to swim in. I didn't bring my camera with me because, well, I forgot it. So all the pictures I have above were snapped with my iPhone.
