Kirkjufellsfoss and Kirkjufell

Kirkjufellsfoss is the name of the waterfall and Kirkjufell is the name of the iconic pointy mountain behind it! This was a quick stop on our way back home after exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. As you can see from some of the pictures there were quite a few people there, but not as many as I had expected. The waterfall is mediocore compared to other waterfalls across the country but it was the combination of the waterfall + the unique mountain that made this a must-hit spot on our road trip. I understand now why so many photographers visit this spot.
